At Baselworld 2014 watch and jewellery show, Tissot unveiled several interesting novelties. Some are intented for watch connoisseurs, others are created to satisfy tastes of contemporary women, while some of them are crafted to match with sport fans. Tissot T-Race MotoGP Automatic Chronograph Limited Edition 2014 exudes strenght and sophistication that arose from a successful partnership between one of the fastest sports in the world and a Swiss Timekeeper of ultimate precision. This newcomer perfectly combines the colors of MotoGP, black and red, thus showing dynamism and the fiery passion of two like-minded partners.

Tissot T-Race MotoGP Automatic Chronograph Watch
The watch is housed in a sporty case crafted from stainless steel. The case measures 45.3mm in diameter and 16.09mm in thickness and it is shielded with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with an antireflective coating. The case incorporates a black PVD bezel which is modeled after a brake disc. There is also a black PVD crown guard which overlaps the 4 o’clock side of the bezel, giving it a brake caliper feel. The water resistance of the watch is assured up to the pressure of 100 meters (about 330 feet). Furthermore, the 151 gram overall weight of the watch is not unreasonable given its size, but due to the silicon strap, the weight is felt almost entirely on the top of the wrist, thus making it more noticeable until you get used to wearing it.

Tissot T-Race MotoGP Automatic Chronograph Watch Front
Underneath the front sapphire glass lies the charming dial whose composition gives it the aspect of a chequered flag that marks the start of the race with starting grids on the indices of the counters and around the minute track. The hour and minute hands, as well as hour markers are filled with luminescent material for the best visibility in all kind of lightening conditions.
Two chrono sub-dials are situated at 6 and 12 o’clock positions, while a small seconds counter is placed at the 9 o’clock position. There is also a small white-on-black date window. A partially ovoid date magnifier at the 3 o’clock position follows the lines started by the caliper-like bezel extension.
