Tissot has prepared several novelties for Baselword 2013. One of them is the latest member of the T-Touch line designed for all women who care about ecology and utter elegance. The new Tissot T-Touch Lady Solar Watch has it all.

This amazing timepiece is the world’s first solar-powered tactile watch and it is intended for modern females of the 21st century.

The ample solar panel is hidden behind the dial without trace. Thus it leaves space for the easily readable digital screen to show activated information. This gorgeous timepiece features advanced functions, such as altimeter, meteo function, compass, chronograph, timer, two alarms, dual time zones, a perpetual calendar, as well as backlight.

Besides these hi-tech functions, the watch boasts a cocktail of sophisticated styling elements. Underneath the tactile scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glass with antireflective coating, there is a gorgeous mother-of-pearl dial with 12 Top Wesselton diamonds set as hour markers. Further, the hour and minute hands resemble delicate petals.

T-Touch Lady Solar Watch is housed in a feminine, antimagnetic 316L stainless steel case that combines brushed and polished surfaces. The round case measures 38mm in diameter and it is perfectly appropriate for an average size of a woman’s wrist.

The case is constructed to resist water pressure up to 100 meters (about 330 feet). The watch is powered with the Swiss made quartz movement with a battery end-of-life indicator. The final touch of elegance comes with a stainless steel bracelet which is secured to the wearer’s wrist with a folding clasp and push-buttons.

This ladies’ timepiece will be available at the end of the year. This is the very first Tissot’s watch with touch functionality which runs via solar power.  In the mid-2000, Tissot had already introduced the PR 100 solar, but this model did not achieved great success.
