The inventive watchmaker from Neuchâtel introduced its first watch with a dual time-zone indication and it looks truly impressive. By reinterpreting the brand’s signature design code to perfectly correspond to the new features, Hautlence created a Destination GMT watch in three stunning versions. Bearing the name that clearly implies that the new line is dedicated to the word travelers, these attractive timepieces with the characteristic cushion shape belong to the new Signature Collection, created for the brand’s future series-produced models, powered by externally sourced movements.

Hautlence Destination 01 GMT Watch
Hautlence Destination O1, 02 and 03 watches were introduced at the Baselworld 2013 watch show as the first brand’s models that are not driven by an in-house movement. This means that Hautlence is opening for the new clientele, which is pretty good news for all fans of the prestigious watchmaker that could not afford one of the brand’s masterpieces. Of course, the level of quality in both terms of design and mechanical performances is still exquisite.
Wide 43.5 mm x 37 mm cases of all three versions are crafted in titanium. For the Destination 01, it is treated with black DLC and complemented with 18 karat 5N red gold lugs, bezel, crown and screws. The Destination 02 watch is completely made of grade 5 titanium, while the Destination 03 comes with the bold, black DLC coated case.

Hautlence Destination 02 GMT Watch
Hautlence has already demonstrated its extraordinary creativity and skills in making unconventional and inventive dials. Dials of new Destinations watches represent the continuation of that spirit. The impressive 3-D effect is produced by using two layers. Destination 01 features an opaline black surface with Clous de Paris’ hobnail motif in the center and applied Arabic numerals, minute track, logo and the large date bridge in red gold. The second version shows the bright silver dial that perfectly matches its titanium case. Finally, the black DLC titanium version features matching application on its black dial with the Clous de Paris’ hobnail motif.
The Swiss watchmaker used the sapphire intermediate dial with applied Arabic numerals that look as floating weightless. A rotating sapphire disk with printed Arabic numerals, which you can see at the 6 o’clock position, indicates the second time zone in the interesting interplay with the day/night display. The date bridge that starts from the 12 o’clock position is engraved with the brand’s name.

Hautlence Destination 03 GMT Watch
The fine-brushed grade 5 titanium case-back is secured with 6 screws and engraved with the inscriptions “HAUTLENCE”, “Horlogerie Suisse”, as well as with “Destination”, time-zone indications, technical information and numbering. Through the small opening, there are revealed a balance wheel and oscillating weight of a Soprod 935I/A10-2 self-winding movement. This mechanism oscillates at the frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and provides 42 hours of power-reserve. For the true aficionados, the movement is decorated with the circular Côtes de Genève motif.
Hautlence Destination watch is available with a black, hand-sewn and rolled-edge strap, made of square-scale Louisiana alligator leather. All together, this is a magnificent timepiece. It comes in numbered, non-limited series that will be available from autumn 2013 onwards. The Destination 01 will be available for around 30,000 CHF, the Destination 02 is the most affordable model with the price of 20,000 CHF and finally, the Destination 03 will cost 22,000 CHF.
