The ingenious design of Chrono 4 Collection that Eberhard & Co. presented for the first time exactly ten years ago now comes more striking than ever before. While keeping the brand’s signature arrangement of four chronograph counters, the new Chrono 4 Colors watch shows innovative aesthetics, immediately recognized by its bold bezel and colorful dial. Limited to 600 pieces, this attractive sporty timepiece is presented in five different colors, each adding an original aesthetic touch to black, sun-brushed dials. This is a truly great model for all men with versatile life-styles which perfectly matches a casual outfit.
Unfortunately, for now on, the Maison Suisse d’Horlogerie Eberhard & Co. only shared with us the images of the model with yellow Super-LumiNova luminescent indices. However, along with this striking model, the Swiss watchmaker released other four sporty watches, in red, green, blue and black. As soon as we get their photos, we will share them with you.
The case of the new Chrono 4 Colors watch has the diameter of 43 mm. It is made of stainless steel and incorporates a modern, tiny bezel with a black anthracite color, reached with the use of the patented Dianoir® DLC – (diamond like coating process) that ensures superb scratch-resistance. It nicely matches with a sun-brushed dial, as well as a black rubber strap with the applied “E” crest. For those who like a subtly different style, there is a choice of a Chêne stainless steel bracelet. Prominent chrono push-buttons and the crown are beautifully executed to give the watch a powerful contemporary touch.
The most striking part of the watch is definitely its dial. Although painted in black, bright colors on its hour indices, 4 chronograph hands, the central seconds hand, as well as on the tips of hour and minute hands, makes the dial look vivid and highly readable. The exception is the “all in black” version that offers a distinctive, more stylish look. Four sub-dials indicate 30-minutes, 12 hours, 24 hours and finally, small seconds. They are surrounded by the tachymeter scale that runs over the outer rim. At the 12 o’clock position, there is a prominent date window. This multi-functional dial is protected with anti-reflective cambered sapphire crystal.
The Chrono 4 Colors watch is powered by EB. 251 Calibre self-winding chronograph mechanism with 53 jewels (based on ETA 2894-2 movement). The watch is water-resistance up to 50 meters. Thus, it is not so useful under water, but at the ground, it is a strong symbol of a modern man.
