Da Vindice comes with another limited series of its unique Vindex Tourbillon-Barometer watch that debuted three years ago as the first ever mechanical timepiece with an aneroid barometer complication. This year, the young innovative watchmaker created 50 pieces of this haute horological masterpiece, either in white or pink gold, which will be officially presented at the Baselworld 2013 watch show.

Da Vindice Vindex Tourbillon-Barometer Watch White Gold
Founded in 2009, Da Vindice has already shaken up the world of haute horology with several cutting-edge creations, including the brand’s signature, stunning Tourbillon-Barometer watch that combines one of the most valuable traditional complications (a tourbillon), with an innovative feature – the aneroid barometer instrument that can measure the atmospheric pressure and thus get weather forecast.
This type of barometer uses a hermetically sealed capsule, called Vidie capsule, whose walls, held apart by a spring, expand or contract due to changes in atmospheric pressure. The mechanism registers these movements of the capsule and indicates them on the 6 o’clock position on the dial. Thus, a wearer gets pretty useful information whether it is going to be stormy, rainy, fair or very dry. It is a very cool feature which also looks great at the wide, retro dial.
At the center of the partially skeletonized dial, there is a one-minute tourbillon cage, embossed with the Da Vindice logo. The artistic black display is adorned with large painted Roman numerals. At the 10 o’clock position, there is a power-reserve indicator, while the stylish date sub-dial takes the 1 o’clock position. Hours, minutes, power-reserve and date are indicated by flame-blued hours and minutes hands, designed in the cathedral style. The dial is protected with anti-reflective sapphire crystal.

Da Vindice Vindex Tourbillon-Barometer Watch Pink Gold
Either made of white or pink gold, cases with such robustness (54mm x 59.5mm x 22.5mm) are rarely seen in the world of wristwatches. At its side, there is a watertight crown and an auto lock push-button. The case is paired with a black crocodile strap that incorporates a gold pin buckle, engraved with the Da Vindice crest. Inside the Vindex Tourbillon-Barometer watch, there is a self-winding tourbillon movement. It oscillates at the frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour and ensures 42 hours of power reserve.
The new Da Vindice Vindex Tourbillon-Barometer watch is a beautiful representative of the haute horology that combines original architecture and classic elegance with the unique selection of complications. It will be pleasure to see this creation up-close, at the upcoming show.
