In order to mark its 30th anniversary, as well as 25 years since the brand’s signature model, a Régulateur, was launched, Chronoswiss launched two stunning limited editions of 130 red gold watches and 300 pieces in stainless steel. By creating a very unusual dial arrangement with the emphasis on the digital jumping hours display, the German watch brand demonstrated an extraordinary creativity and great expertise of its craftsmen. New Chronoswiss Régulateur 30 Watches will be presented at the Baselworld watch show.
The atypical hour display is not the only thing that distinguishes these masterpieces. The newest Chronoswiss Régulateur 30 watches are also unique by an interesting and aesthetically brilliant arrangement of two sub-dials, the larger one that indicates minutes and intersects the small seconds sub-dial which is located at the 6 o’clock position. However, the most noticeable aesthetic appeal comes with two decorative patterns on the silver dial. Surrounding minutes and seconds sub-dials, there is an exquisite pattern with a barleycorn guilloché motif to recall the brand’s original Kairos model. In order to mark sub-dials in a highly unusual manner, Chronoswiss chose a chessboard guilloché motif.
Minutes and seconds are indicated by hand-finished, blued and feuille-shaped hands and, as it has been mentioned, hours are displayed by the digital jumping-hours disk, revealed through the aperture at the 12 o’clock position. The more luxury and more limited version features a case crafted in 18 karat red gold while the second variation comes with a stainless steel case. Cases are 40 mm wide and 9.65 mm thick and both incorporate pretty interesting, polished coin-edged bezels and the brand’ signature onion-style crowns.
Their bands are vertically brushed, while case-backs and lug tops have polished finishes. They are covered with anti-reflective sapphire crystal on both sides, revealing beauty of their mechanisms from the back side. It is a Caliber C.283 self-winding movement with a three-legged Glucydur balance and an Incabloc shock protection. This mechanism oscillates with the frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and provides a power reserve of up to 42 hours.
New Chronoswiss Régulateur 30 Anniversary watches will be available with Louisiana crocodile leather straps with pin buckles or folding clasps. (The red gold version is paired with a brown strap, while the steel model comes with a black strap). Each watch will be delivered in a special box with a built-in winder.
