Revealing the complete beauty, originality and complexity of its unique movement, including six sapphire bridges, a new Pierre DeRoche TNT Royal Retro Sapphire timepiece makes an important step forward from the groundbreaking 2009 model, famous by its six retrograde seconds mechanism. This technological masterpiece will be officially presented at the world’s most important annual watch show to be held in Basel, Switzerland.

Pierre DeRoche Royal Retro Sapphire WatchThree years ago, Pierre DeRoche amazed the watch lovers with the world’s first mechanism that incorporates six moving retrograde seconds hands. Created to offer an extraordinary element of fun, this mechanism has its place in the watchmaking history, since its retrograde hands which are driven by gears, instead of cams show a brand new horological approach. Thanks to a strip-spring that has replaced the classical balance-spring system, each of six hands counts 10-second interval, after ‘passes on the baton’ to the next retrograde hand and returns to its primary place.

This feature is innovative, extremely interesting, it provides a totally new design approach, but above all, it is functional. The new system reduces the risks of wear and tear and increases the shock-resistance. Thus, it makes the adjustment easier. Since it requires a higher level of energy, the Pierre DeRoche constructed a meticulously-designed extra-large 22K pink gold oscillating mass.

New Pierre DeRoche TNT Royal Retro Sapphire watch is even more fascinating, since it comes with six visible sapphire bridges, along with a fascinating central bridge with 12 pivots. The exclusive Dubois Dépraz self-winding movement that comprises 58 jewels is totally revealed. Besides hour, minute and retrograde seconds functions, it also provides a date feature.

Pierre DeRoche Royal Retro Sapphire WatchThe TNT Royal Retro Sapphire is an extremely robust and boldly looking watch, made of extra hard materials. Its 47.5 mm case is crafted in black PVD-coated titanium, incorporating a stainless steel bezel.  Its horns, crown-shield and crown are made of 18 karat pink gold. Elegance comes with a black alligator strap, with an 18 karat pink gold and titanium safety folding clasp. It will certainly be one of the most exclusive models at the Baselworld 2012, since it is produced in the Limited Edition of just 11 pieces.
