Fans of the amazing tri-retrograde seconds complication should be trilled by the official announcement of the renowned watchmaker, about its latest luxury creation to be presented at the Baselworld 2012. New Milus Tirion TriRetrograde Seconds watch (Ref. TIRI741) presents outstanding combination of materials that makes the brand’s trademark model so attractive and functional that one can barely stop looking at it.

Milus TriRetrograde Seconds WatchDespite the incredible design solution which demonstrates high complexity, keeping all components in the perfect harmony, the tri-retrograde seconds module remains the absolute highlight of the watch. Beautifully displayed by three small and luminous retrograde hands, at 6, 9 and 3 o’clock positions, each counting its own 20-seconds interval, this stunning complication provides the true spectacle on a large watch face.

This tri-retrograde complication module which is made exclusively for Milus by a third-party specialist, is attached on ETA 2892-A2 ebauche, forming the well-known Milus Caliber 3838 self-winding movement that oscillates at the frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and provides 40 hours of power-reserve.

What makes the new Milus Tirion TriRetrograde Seconds watch different to some previous models from the collection is the unique combination of materials. A robust, nine-part case with the diameter of 45 mm is crafted in stainless steel and then treated with scratch-proof black DLC coating. Incredible contrast is reached by the use of 18 karat rose gold for a stylish round bezel, a crown, central and retrograde hands, bold hour markers and over-sized Arabic numerals.

The central part of a dial is made of black carbon, decorated with the sunray finish. Thus, contrasting hands and markers are highly readable. It looks like every single part of the dial is at the right place, even the square date window which is located between 4 and 5 o’clock positions. The dial is protected with convex, antireflective sapphire crystal that also covers the beck of the watch, revealing the complete beauty of the mechanism.

New Milus Tirion TriRetrograde Seconds watch is available with a black genuine alligator leather strap that perfectly fits with the black dial. This stunning timepiece represents the highest skills and ingenious creativity that gave us a chance to enjoy in the perfect blend of elegance, sportiveness and luxury.
