A breathtaking mother-of-pearl dial, surrounded by sparkling diamonds, spins around in the beautiful harmony of a magical moon-phase display and a sunburst date indicator. You will be drown into this fascinating game of light and form by a single look at Corum Admiral’s Cup Legend 38 Mystery Moon watch, exclusively created for glamorous ladies. The new breakthrough from the Corum’s iconic Admiral’s Cup Collection will be officially revealed at the upcoming Baselworld 2012 watch and jewelry show.
What makes this watch innovative and extremely interesting is the combination of a stationary calendar wheel and the dial (either black or white) that goes around its central axis, completing one rotation in 31 days. This really changes the common way of displaying date through an aperture on a dial via rotating wheel or disk.
The mother of pearl moon phase indicator features a jumping disk that is made of satin grinding metal and adorned with star patterns, six of which are set with diamonds. This beautiful display also rotates with the dial, keeping the distance from the radiating date aperture with an aesthetic twill outset. Open-worked, faceted and luminescent hour and minute hands subtly run over the beautiful watch face, displaying time. Engraved on its bezel flange, there is a distinctive minute track with 12 monochromatic nautical pennants that indicate hours.
A Large Case for Strong Personality
Preserving the unique design code of the famous Corum’s Admiral’s Cup Collection, the new brand’s masterpiece has a legendary twelve-sided stainless steel case. With the diameter of 38 mm, it is pretty large for a women’s watch, but as you may have already seen, this is everything but a mainstream model.
Adorned with 72 diamonds (0.58 karats), a shimmering bezel rounds the aesthetic perfection of the Admiral’s Cup Legend 38 Mystery Moon watch. This masterpiece also incorporates a screw-lock crown, engraved with the Corum key and a twelve-sided sapphire crystal, with anti-reflective treatments on both sides. A transparent case-back allows a clear look on a Corum Caliber CO384 self-winding movement that features 30 jewels and an engraved rotor. It oscillates at the frequency of 28’800 vibrations per hour (4 hz) and provides the power reserve of 42 hours.
Corum Admiral’s Cup Legend 38 Mystery Moon timepiece is available either with a white or black satin strap that comes with a triple folding clasp bearing the engraved Corum logo. So far, this exceptional creation that nicely combines sport elegance and luxury is my favorite ladies’ timepiece to be presented at the Baselworld 2012.
