Danica Sue Patrick is the most successful woman in the history of American open-wheel racing and the only woman to win in the IndyCar Series and holding the highest finish by a woman at the Indianapolis 500 of 3rd place. She became the first female Tissot ambassador in 2005.

The most beautiful American auto racing driver and model was born on March 25, 1982 in Beloit, Wisconsin and brought up in Illinois. She started her career by going go-karting in Wisconsin when she was only 10. Later she raced Formula Ford in England before moving back to the U.S. and moving up to IndyCars.

In the male-dominated world of racing, the attractive Danica Patrick is known for being boldly competitive, whilst maintaining her stylish femininity.

In 2005, she went to the IndyCar Series, the highest American racing car class, and from the start, she demonstrated speed and the highest capabilities. During her first year in the IndyCar Formula, Danica was named the Rookie of the Year for both the 2005 Indianapolis 500 and the 2005 IndyCar Series season. That same year the prestigious Indianapolis 500-mile race went in history as Danica became the first women ever to lead a lap of the Indianapolis 500.

Besides, she finished the race as a sensational fourth. Four years later, she beat her personal record by reaching the third position in the Indy 500, which also represents the best finish ever achieved by a woman in the race.

During her time in IndyCar, Danica Patrick drove for Rahal Letterman Racing from 2005 to 2006, and Andretti Autosport from 2007 to 2011.

Private Life

Today, Danica lives in Phoenix, Arizona. She is happily married to Paul Edward Hospenthal since 2005. Interestingly, her husband had previously been her physical therapist while she was recovering from a yoga injury.

Danica Patrick also appeared in Jay-Z’s “Show Me What You Got” music video, where she drove a Pagani Zonda Roadster. She has hosted various TV shows on Spike TV, including “Powerblock”, and she was featured in the 2005 documentary Girl Racers.

The partnership between Tissot and Patrick is a long one. Two years ago, the Swiss watchmaker was the primary sponsor on Danica’s No. 7 JR Motorsports Chevrolet for the CampingWorld.com 300 Nationwide race held October 9th at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA. Tissot was also an associate sponsor for her five remaining Nationwide events. The arrangement with JR Motorsports for the 2011 Nationwide season includes a Tissot primary sponsorship at the Chicagoland Speedway race on June 4, and an associate sponsor at all of Danica’s other races.

Danica PatrickThis is what Danica said about this sponsorship: “I have enjoyed an outstanding relationship with Tissot and am thrilled that the company is one of the major sponsors on our No. 7 JR Motorsports Chevrolet. I love the Tissot watches – they are sporty, sophisticated and have style. I am proud to be a Tissot ambassador.”

According to the Tissot website, for her personal timekeeping, Danica favors larger, highly robust wristwatches. She is especially a great fan of the unique tactile technology in the Tissot T-Touch Collection.
